Here is our lovely job trailer...a 1968 Winnebago. Owned by my family for a LONG time! Lots of happy caming memories... It doesn't have a transmission so it had to be toed up the mountain on a trailer. The fun of it was getting it OFF the trailer...long story short...it was almost off when the ramps gave way and the front end of the motor home landed on the back end of the trailer...so there was some jacking involved to get the motorhome off the trailer and backed up into position. The motorhome itself is 7'6" wide and the space we were backing it into was about 8'.... lots of fun!!
This weekend we had Emily and her boyfriend Stacey join us as well as my Uncle Brett. Brett built us a new improved chop saw table - Thank you Uncle Brett!! We got a lot of the main floor walls laid out, but only two up (well three, but I forgot to take pictures of the third one!) That one will be in next week's update.
Below is the first wall we got up - it is the great room wall and there is a fireplace in it...so Stacey and David had to frame in the chimmny walls first. This picture is taken from the view of walking up to the front enterence of our house...where the ramp is - is where the front door will be. The hole to the right will be the staircase to the basement.
Here is David, Emily and my dad putting up our mud room wall...this will be our "back door"....or where we will probably come in with groceries and such - our pantry is back in this area as well.
